A late summer’s evening. 2 great musicians. A delicious dinner. An intimate setting. A night well spent.
Be a part of a special show that sees these two musicians together on a lineup for the first time ever. They first had musical contact in 1994 in the Melbourne music scene, and are both looking forward to being able to share an intimate evening of heartfelt music with you. Come and join them!
Julian Smith
With a small cluster of releases under his arm since 2018’s debut single “Coming Back To You”, Julian continues to focus on deepening the quality of both his catalogue of songs and his live performances.
Check out Julian’s debut single “Coming Back To You” here:
Opening for Julian on the night will be Tao Bak.
Tao presents as an old soul with a completely fresh take on the world. His acoustic, folk and rock history lends him a musical perspective that is individual and highly personal. With a music career that spans more than 30 years, and with his feet planted in the significance of the Melbourne music scene, Tao delivers humanity and heart as only he can.
Thanks again to those who were able to make the CD launch in December. With thanks to Suzie Wood, here are some photos of the event!

The album is getting there! After a bit of a break we were happy to be back in the studio last weekend where it was great to hear the sound and atmosphere of the album starting to come together as Melchior and Fred to put down guitar parts for three of the songs. We have a few more sessions booked over the next moth or so, to give things a move along, and I have a new song also that I’m hoping to fit into the album, time permitting. Otherwise it will have to go on the next one. The next session will be harmony vocals, and violin parts from the lovely Michaela!
What a delightful afternoon yesterday at Earthly Pleasures Cafe. It was great to see so many there, and to play in such a nice environment. I’m looking forward to more gigs like this!

It was great to be back in the studio last night putting vocals on three tracks from the new album, as well as some beautiful violin playing from Michaela.
After a late night, including two blackouts when the storm hit, we emerged complete with a demo mix of one of the songs. Now we can finally share our progress. I hope you like how it sounds!
